Get excited about the 2025 Pitts Design and Construction WA Hobie 16 State Championships. The event will be hosted by Jervoise Bay Sailing Club, Woodman Point. Just south of Fremantle, clear waters and good breezes and an ideal location for some great Hobie Cat sailing.

Racing will be held on Saturday 01 and Sunday 02 March. Teams should plan to arrive on the Friday afternoon to setup and join in for a casual on water shake down session. We would like teams to complete their registration with us in person on the Friday if possible. This its helpful for our volunteer HCAWA Committee, your fellow sailors.

Friday evening:

• 1630 to 1730 – Register with the HCAWA team for the championship and collect your event pack and presents.
• JBSC will be open for socialising. Beverages available to purchase, bring your own food.

Saturday:

• Race – be nice and have fun!
• HCAWA AGM in the evening, please join in and be part of your local Hobie Cat racing community.
• Please bring an outdoor chair / camping chair for your use at the club over the weekend if you can.
• Vaikobi Race Place Lucky Draw for the days racing.
• Championship Dinner – yummy dinner at JBSC from the Smokr food truck, tickets provided to competitors as part of the entry and additional dinner tickets were available for purchase, for extras now please contact HCAWA by email.
• Socialise at the club and share your salty tales from the days racing. Watch the video footage from the day.

Sunday:

• More excellent racing.
• Casual presentation, including the much anticipated “Vaikobi Race Place Lucky Draw” prizes and wind up at the clubhouse.
• See who gets to be crowned the first Medium and Heavy Weight WA Champions!

REGATTA CANTEEN:

• Lunch order rolls available for Saturday and Sunday.

REGATTA SHIRTS:
Regatta t-shirts are not included with the entry fee and can be purchased as an additional item. Go to the HCAWA SHOP to order your event polo. We will open up for post event orders.

All competitors will receive a Vaikobi Hobie Team WA sailing bib with their entry.

DIVISION ANNOUCEMENTS:
On top of the regular Hobie 16 divisions of Open / Masters / Grand Masters / Great Grand Masters (scored as a stand alone series for each), this year we are super exited to announce more divisions for more FUN!

Medium weight (142-155kg) and Heavy weight (above 155kg) teams will be included in these two new divisions. Any teams meeting the weight criteria who place in terms of top three in the Open fleet will be excluded. Scoring will be within the Open fleet point score with teams being pulled out in order from the overall results (not scored separately)

Rookie division for any teams who are new to Hobie Cat 16 racing and would like some help! We’re supporting our Rookie teams with an on water coach during the event. Have a go, be part of the community and get in to Hobie racing, it’s fun!
